As a Mechanical Project Engineer, your passion for mechanical systems and love for hands-on work will be crucial. You have a passion for understanding how mechanical equipment works. While you understand CAD, you are someone who enjoys getting your hands dirty and make it work. You communicate well with other engineers and suppliers. Experience with lamination, coating, dosing, and/or curing machines is a strong plus.  

You will be pivotal in the specification, design, installation and commissioning of our future machinery. Your work will have a direct impact on improving efficiency and boosting the reliability of our processes. 

We are ideally looking for candidates who will not only be keen to use their theoretical and design background, but also are eager to work hands on together with a multi-disciplinary team and our partners to bring the newly developed equipment into real production.  

Our ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience and:  

  • MSc in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) 
  • Affinity or experience with lamination, coating, dosing, and/or curing processes 
  • A hands- on approach as evident from previous work or as evident form a hobby like  working on your own car or rebuilding your house 
  • Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks preferred). 
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently. 
  • Fluent English communication skills (written and spoken). Dutch is a plus.  
  • Experience with automation and process control is an advantage. 
  • Experience with writing engineering documents 

What We Offer: 

  • Our terms and conditions are conforming the Collective Agreement Metalektro (CAO);
  • A fulltime position for 40 hours per week, mostly within office hours;
  • A salary ranging between € 4.000,- and € 6.000,- for a 40 hours working week depending on relevant working experience;

Based in Arnhem, HyET Solar is at the forefront of developing flexible, lightweight solar modules. We are scaling up from pilot to commercial production, with diverse applications in modern, uniquely shaped roofs, facades, and other construction-limited environments such as airports, shopping malls, and distribution centers.
